Ferrero in Mexico with a new production plant

On Wednesday 22nd February, 2012, the President of the Mexican Republic, Mr. Felipe Calderon, during a press conference in Guanajuato, announced that Ferrero will invest 190 million dollars for building a new plant at the Parque Opcòn industrial park, in San Josè Iturbide in the State of Guanajuato in Mexico.
The new production plant will manufacture the new Kinder and Nutella products, for the local market and for export to North America (USA and Canada). The plant will start its production from May 2013 and, when at full rate, it will employ 500 persons besides the 600 already working for B.U. Amongst other personalities, also Mr. Giuseppe D’Angelo, responsible of Ferrero for the Anglo-Americas area, and Mr. Roberto Spinelli, the Ambassador representing Italy in Mexico, participated to the press conference.
