Sustainable Business Australia forum held in conjunction with the Australian release of Ferrero’s 5th CSR report.

Friday 13 March 2015

Sustainable Business Australia brought together Ferrero Australia and their stakeholders including suppliers, distributors and NGOs to unwrap the confectioner’s sustainability challenges and discuss some world leading innovation and commercial solutions, at an SBA Forum in Sydney today.

The SBA Forum was held in conjunction with the Australian release of Ferrero’s 5th CSR report which presents a clear and verified set of global CSR milestones, ongoing guidelines and bold targets for the company’s operations
worldwide.

The SBA Forum examined the local application of Ferrero’s global guidelines and included speakers from WWF Australia, FairTrade, Bonsucro, NSW Office of Environment and Heritage and UNSW.

Craig Barker, Managing Director Commercial, Ferrero Australia, provided the business context and explained Ferrero’s global values and framework for Corporate Responsibility. Two expert panels then discussed the Australian issues for key the ingredients (sugar, cocoa and palm oil) and waste management.
